MYJO at the 43rd Montreux Jazz Festival!

The Merton Youth Jazz Orchestra (MYJO) received standing ovations for their fantastic performances at the 43rd Montreux Jazz Festival.

MYJO appeared on two consecutive days at the festival (16th and 17th July 2009) playing to appreciative audiences at the world famous jazz festival. The orchestra performed for 90 minutes on the Parc Vernex Stage showing the jazz fans why it is regarded as one of the top youth jazz orchestras in the UK.

The Montreux Jazz Festival is the best-known music festival in Switzerland and one of the most prestigious in Europe; it is held annually in early July in Montreux on the shores of Lake Geneva.
